Piano Lessons

How I Make Learning Piano Easy to Start

Lessons from Home

For the sake of comfort as possible and saving you time, I travel to you and teach you on your very own keyboard or piano. Who doesn't want to learn in an environment they're comfortable with? If at home piano lessons are not possible, contact me for alternative options.

No Extra Purchases

I’ll provide all the basics you need to start learning piano. This includes books, sheet music, folders, pencils, paper, or whatever else we figure out we need along the way. If you decide to start lessons, won’t need to do any shopping!

How I Keep Piano Engaging

Relevant Experience

I customize my teaching to adapt to your needs. I can teach music in jazz, classical, and pop styles, as well as the styles adjacent and in between. Every pianist doesn’t need the same set of skills––I'll make sure the skills I teach will be the skills you need to play the music you like. I do my best to keep your practice from being boring or irrelevant.

Personalized Music

The songs/pieces I teach are also relevant to you. I make sure I select songs that match your taste, while also teaching you the skills you need to know. In addition to teaching with preexisting music I also use my background in composition to customize or write music to adapt to your level and goals.

Focus On Creativity

I wholeheartedly believe in emphasizing the creative aspect of piano playing whether as subtle as personal stylization, or as apparent as music composition. I teach things like jazz improvisation, soloing, ambient padding, etc. Beyond piano playing, I also teach piano composition, musical analysis, and beginner to advanced music theory. Beyond even piano, I’m able to guide you in things like songwriting, orchestral and digital composition, etc.. Piano is not only fulfilling in its self—most knowledgeable musicians will say that piano is the most useful instrument to use to understand the way music works, and is the perfect stepping stone into the broader world of music.
